Canon Pixma MG5450 - Printer Offline

Postby dellboy » Sun Dec 01, 2013 5:37 pm

Have installed the trial version of Audiolabel , my printer is Canon MG5450 (WIN XP 32 BIT).
I am unable to print ,keep getting the message " printer offline".
Have checked my printer & it is working just not with audiolabel.
Any ideas ?.

Re: Audio Label not working with CanonMG5450

Hi,

The problem might be due to how the print driver is installed. AudioLabel should read any print driver that is installed locally on your computer.

Please try this:
1. Uninstall the print driver for the Canon Pixma MG5450.
2. Reboot your computer (very important).
3. Download and install the absolute latest print driver for the MG5450 from the Canon website.
4. Set the Canon MG5450 printer as your default printer in the Windows Control Panel Settings (Printers & Faxes).
5. Start AudioLabel.

Please let me know if this fixes the problem.

Hi Lisa,

Have uninstalled printer driver & reinstalled latest driver for MG5450.
Reinstalled Audio label , but still have the same problem.
Message is when pushing print button " All printers are currently offline, please make sure you can print from other programs".
The printer is working fine with other programs , Audiolabel does not detect my printer.
Have you anyother ideas.

Hi,

Just a few more questions:

1. Is the Canon MG5450 printer set as your default printer in the Windows Control Panel Settings (Printers & Faxes)?
2. Is your printer connected directly to your computer, or are you printing through a network?
3. Are you using AudioLabel Version 5.00 Build 7? (you can check the version by selecting "About" under the "Help" menu)

Hi Dell,

The print driver settings in AudioLabel are only reset if you uninstall AudioLabel first.

Please try this:

1. Uninstall AudioLabel (very important).
2. Reboot your computer.
3. Install AudioLabel.

Hi Nicole,

Have uninstalled Audiolabel & rebooted,
uninstalled the printer drivers & rebooted.
Re- Installed the printer drivers & the printer is working ok with all other programs.
Re-installed Audio label V5 - B7 & Rebooted.
Hope i have done this correct,
Still no luck getting the same message printer off line, Audio label is not detecting my printer.
I was hoping to purchase this program but it seems that it,s not going to work on my pc.

Hi Nicole,

As everything else is working with my printer , could the fault lie with Audiolabel itself.
