Recommended CD/DVD Label Paper

Postby Tresclub » Wed Oct 12, 2016 8:39 pm

I just installed the full version 6. What cd/dvd label maker paper is recommended for use with the HP Officejet 4500?

For CD labels we recommend:
Avery CD Labels (Full-Face in White Matte):

When using this label, please select the "Avery 8960 (Letter)" template in the "Change Label Template" window of AudioLabel. It's important to get a "Full-Face" CD label (for any brand) since there's so much more room for your design. Please use the white matte version of this label. They do make a glossy version, but they are not recommended due the fact they smear and wear easily.

For Jewel Case labels:
We recommend printing jewel case labels on the some good photo paper, and cutting the label out by hand. When using photo paper, please select the "(CD Jewel Case - Plain Paper)" template in the "Change Label Template" window (which includes the front and back inserts). Also, you will most likely want to turn on the "Print Borders" option in AudioLabel so you know where to fold the paper. With Photo paper, both matte and glossy finishes work great - it's a matter of preference.

They do sell pre-cut and pre-perforated jewel case labels which some people prefer for higher volume production. You won't need to print borders on these labels since they are perforated, but you will need to make sure you have the right AudioLabel template selected to get the correct printer alignment.
